How to use it properly:

• Before putting your K2, VISS, Kantun S, or any other IOM yacht in the water, always check that the lid is positioned correctly on the electronics pot.

• Press the lid firmly down until it closes completely and you feel the small “click”.

• Make sure the lid sits evenly around the entire pot and is not tilted, loose, or partially open.

• When fitted correctly, the lid provides a very secure seal and helps prevent water from penetrating into the electronics pot.

Important after-sailing care:

• Always remove the lid over the RC equipment after sailing.

• This allows the inside of the boat and the RC gear to dry properly.

• Even if your boat has no leaks, condensation can still form inside the hull and may potentially damage the electronics over time.

• Leaving the lid open after sailing helps reduce moisture buildup and improves the long-term reliability of your RC equipment.

Salt water maintenance:

  • The main dimension (inside circle on which pot “teeth” clicks) is the diameter of: 118mm (this is also the measure of the pot on which this lid will click with its dent that holds the lid in place firmly, use this as the main measure).
  • Material: Plastic Polymers (resistant to freezing temperatures as well!)
*The outer dimension of the lid (the widest possible measure, the surface that the lid covers) is the diameter of 124 mm (this measure only tells you how wide the lid is when fully placed on the table or some flat surface, so please not: it is not possible to build a 124 mm wide pot as the lid would not fit on it)
